Leave Of Absence

Even after 20 years of marriage, successful architect Sam Mercer (Brian Dennehy, Jack Reed) cannot keep his hands off his beautiful wife, Elisa (Blythe Danner, Meet the Parents). Their idyllic relationship is destroyed, however, as a very unusual woman enters Sam’s life. She is Nell (Jacqueline Bisset, Bullitt), a free spirit who challenges Sam’s ideas and thoughts – and, ultimately, his marriage. But unexpected and shattering news is about to strike at the heart of his intense affair.
