Steve Catlin is a ladies’ man with a smooth line and a cool approach.  The trouble only arises when his girlfriends start arguing about commitment.  Steve then settles such arguments in his own inimitable fashion: he murders his girlfriends.  Edie Ballew suspects that Steve may – literally - be a ladykiller, but she has no evidence to prove it.  So she decides to trap him by posing as a potential conquest.
